A leading engineering firm in Italy seeks a HYD Design Engineer to design and validate hydraulic components. The ideal candidate will have a M.Sc or B.Sc in Vehicle/Mechanics/Hydraulic and up to 5 years of experience in technical 3D design for the automotive or machinery sectors. Applicants must be knowledgeable in CAD, PLM systems, and have good communication skills. The role involves independent work and collaboration across departments, ensuring timely and high-quality designs.

Position Summary

Job Title: HYD Design Engineer
Reporting to: Engineering Function Manager
Department: R&D
Location: Dulevo

Key Responsibilities

• Design of hydraulic components, in compliance with ISO/EU/US Norms and internal regulations, working independently or in a team.
• Identification and generation of the necessary fixings/parts to satisfy the component / system functions.
• Components / systems management through 2D/3D CAD and PLM systems
• Support the parts release on ERP system
• Responsible of the component Validation. Perform the necessary DFMEA / FEA (ANSIS preferred) / CFD simulations and physical tests, working closely with Product Validation department
• Coordinate the drawing and model activities of other partners, in liaison with Purchasing and Supplier Quality departments
• Involve the partners in the specification request
• Support the prototyping and pre-production builds phases with the necessary documentation
• Attend Problem solving meetings and be prepared for proactive activities
• Manage the change requested / identified during meetings with Product Validation, Kaizen or After Sales meetings
• Manage the timing and the job status, respecting the time to market

Qualifications

• M.Sc or B.Sc Degree in Vehicle/Mechanics/Hydraulic
• Up to 5 years Technical 3D designer in automotive, industrial, agriculture or earth-moving machinery.

Skills

• SolidEdge, TeamCenter, AS400, SAP
• Knowledge of plastics, hydraulic, pneumatic, water and metal component developments parts, including pipes and harness fixation
• Test Procedures and acceptance criteria knowledge
• Languages: good English
