The HSE department is focused on making the world a better place today and on protecting it for future generations. The HSE intern at Vestas is responsible for assisting in the administration and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental management plans, with a primary focus on the Vestas Behavioral Change process. This role involves conducting inspections and supporting day-to-day HSE initiatives within the factory location to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

The position is based in Taranto - Italy.

Responsibilities
  • Work in close collaboration to Vestas' internal departments and Production/Maintenance Teams as appropriate
  • Assist with incident investigations and follow‑up meetings
  • Assist with causes of injuries and accidents investigations to identify preventive measures
  • Use and understand HSE databases and SharePoint sites
  • Review and assist with documentation changes of HSE procedures
  • Incorporate Vestas Values in all aspects of the job
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or chemical (Master degree would be a plus)
  • Strong ability to work in teams and self‑manage tasks
  • High adaptability and flexibility
  • Strong desire to learn new skills
  • Excellent work ethic and dependability
  • System skills in Microsoft Office and database programs
  • Open to learning HSE, ISO 14001, 45001 program management
  • Understanding of behavior‑based programs is a plus
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, to work freely, adapt to new and sometimes complex situations
  • Solid interpersonal, computer, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good commitment to quality, good time management and reporting skills
