High End Client Development Director at Bvlgari

Within the High Jewelry & Haute Horlogerie Department, based in Rome, we are looking for a High End Client Development Director.

Reporting directly to the High End (HE) Global Client Development, Business Development & Training Director, this role has the strategic aim to define and drive the HE clienteling agenda, with global responsibility to ensure successful delivery of HE client engagement, coverage, experience and development. Acting as a Brand Ambassador, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in further growing our HE business, working in an international context and collaborating with multiple departments.

S/He will manage and develop a team of 3/4 people and animate the community of HE Client Development Managers/ HE Managers on HE clienteling related topics in the different markets.

Key Accountabilities
  • Drive and generate turnover through the definition, budgeting and implementation of the HE clienteling strategy, targeting both existing and new clients through elevation, retention, conversion and recruitment/ networking
  • Leverage client portfolio analysis to set global clienteling objectives and priorities
  • Oversee the management of the HE client database to ensure data accuracy and quality; partner with Central CRM, IT & Data Compliance teams to further develop and optimize the HE client portfolio management ecosystem (reporting & HE client management IT tools)
  • Instill a structured, client‑centric mindset within the global team, focusing on building long‑term relationships with HE clients
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders at both global and local levels to define/ coordinate exceptional international and local experiences for HE clients
  • Build up our ‘go to market’ and follow‑up capacity to ensure the definition of effective clienteling action plans on priority client clusters and individualized client journey plans at market level
  • Work on market adoption of the new methodologies, processes and tools (both quantitative and qualitative)
International HE Events
  • Define the right client targeting and drive the client selection process to international events
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the design of international HE events, in partnership with Central Events/Trade Marketing Teams, to ensure elevated client experience, meet sales targets and align future initiatives with client expectations
  • Work closely with global and local teams during International HE events preparation
  • Regularly review top HE client data & event performance to inform future event planning
Qualifications / Professional Capabilities
  • University degree in Business Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in client development (minimum 10 years), preferably in luxury and/or jewelry in a global context. Previous experience with Asian market will be considered a plus
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Ability to understand and express business needs to various internal stakeholders, applying a quali/quantitative approach
  • Fluent in English and Italian. Knowledge of French will be considered a plus
