Responsibilities:

The Logistics Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing a performance reporting system (through KPIs) and for the continuous performance improvement of the Logistics function that manages worldwide outbound logistics for Haworth Lifestyle brands. This includes product handling, warehousing, shipping, final mile delivery including white glove services, and tracking the product flow along the entire logistics chain.

The primary focus of this role is data-driven performance monitoring and continuous improvement, working closely with internal Brand stakeholders and external service providers. The goal is to identify and implement quality, performance, and cost optimizations along the logistics chain.

The role reports directly to the Global Head of Industrial Development of Haworth Lifestyle.

Main Activities:

  • Define, implement, and maintain a standardized logistics quality dashboard with key information about outbound logistics performance, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date data.
  • Track and report lead times of container shipments against targets.
  • Benchmark, share best practices, and improve the group's white glove delivery services worldwide.
  • Implement structured customer claim management using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Conduct site visits and internal audits at logistics hubs to ensure quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Support decision-making in selecting logistics providers based on quality parameters, especially during bidding processes.
  • Own and improve logistics performance reporting, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and serve as the main contact for performance and quality issues.
  • Promote a culture of continuous performance improvement across logistics.
  • Act professionally, with integrity, and strive to add value to Haworth Lifestyle Brands.

Experience and Education:

  • Engineering degree.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in logistics.
  • International experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable results.

Technical and Soft Skills:

  • Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in complex, multi-company, and matrix environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Italian and English.
  • Ability to build networks and strong relationships.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel mainly within Italy.
