Basic Purpose of the Job
The Global Digital Communications Specialist supports the execution and optimization of ZEGNA’s global digital communications strategy across email and SMS channels. The role focuses on delivering effective lifecycle communications, supporting brand needs, and ensuring consistent, engaging, and data‑driven customer journeys across all digital touchpoints. Working closely with Global CVM, Content, Media, IT, Digital Business, and regional teams, you will nurture the digital customer throughout the entire lifecycle while contributing to performance analysis, testing, and continuous optimization.
In This Role, You Will
- Support the execution of ZEGNA’s global email and SMS lifecycle strategy across key branding and lifecycle customer journeys (welcome, abandoned cart, post‑purchase, re‑engagement, dormant users).
- Build, deploy, and optimize automated, transactional, and behavior‑triggered communications at scale using the global marketing automation platform.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of campaigns while maintaining high standards of design, copy, and brand consistency in line with ZEGNA’s tone of voice and luxury positioning.
- Coordinate the operational execution of campaigns with an external content‑filling agency, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on‑time delivery across all markets.
Campaign Management, Planning and Performance
- Own and maintain the global digital marketing calendar for email and SMS communications.
- Design, plan, schedule, and coordinate all digital communication activities in line with commercial priorities, launches, and key brand moments.
- Execute global and regional digital communication campaigns, working closely with regional teams to adapt content, timing, and targeting to local market needs.
- Support testing initiatives (A/B testing on subject lines, content, layouts, segmentation) to continuously improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for the external content‑filling agency, briefing campaigns, reviewing outputs, and ensuring alignment with global guidelines and timelines.
- Monitor campaign performance across all global digital communications, tracking key engagement and conversion metrics to assess effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities.
- Ensure correct UTM tagging and tracking implementations for all digital communication campaigns.
- Contribute to performance reporting by consolidating results, highlighting insights, and supporting post‑campaign analyses to inform future communications.
Digital Clienteling Activities
- Support the planning and execution of one‑to‑one and one‑to‑few digital communication campaigns aimed at driving sales and strengthening relationships with ZEGNA’s top customer segments.
- Act as digital customer advisor for a selection of top digital European clients.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in digital communications, CRM, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation roles.
- Hands‑on experience executing email and/or SMS campaigns, including automated and triggered communications.
- Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and omnichannel communication principles.
- Strong interest in developing relationships with clients.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international environment.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Microsoft Dynamics 365); basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working within Adobe Analytics environments to monitor digital communication performance, analyze customer behavior, and support data‑driven optimization of campaigns.
- English (mandatory), Italian (preferred); other European languages are a plus.
