A technology development firm is seeking a Fullstack Developer to work in Rome, combining advanced backend and full stack development with AI solutions. The role involves designing and maintaining scalable systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and Next.js, as well as integrating software with AI models. Ideal candidates have strong engineering skills and experience delivering products to commercial launch. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 2-3 days a week in the office.

FULLSTACK DEVELOPER (Node.js/TypeScript/Next.js) IBRIDO A ROMA 2/3 GIORNI A SETTIMANA

This role combines advanced backend and full stack development with Agentic AI solution engineering. You will design, build, and maintain scalable systems in Node.js/TypeScript and Next.js while architecting, integrating, and deploying AI agents that support business services. Strong software engineering skills are the priority; prior experience integrating software with AI models is required, but deep ML research is not.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze feasibility of new features related to Agentic AI solutions
• Design end-to-end integration architectures with third‑party platforms and AI services
• Build robust, scalable backend and full stack applications with Node.js, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Develop REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices; ensure performance, reliability, security, and observability
• Develop AI‑enabled features (when meaningful) to support end‑to‑end business services
• Integrate backend systems with agentic AI platforms and ensure seamless communication between services and agents
• Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI solutions capable of autonomous planning, reasoning, and multi‑step task execution
• Build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and integrate external knowledge sources
• Implement multi‑agent collaboration and orchestration where applicable
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance for all AI agent deployments
• Monitor, evaluate, and refine agentic workflows for reliability, safety, and ethical boundaries
• Collaborate with DevOps, architects, data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams from proof‑of‑value to large‑scale deployment

Experience & Expertise

• Strong software engineering skills with Node.js and TypeScript
• Production experience with Next.js (SSR/ISR, routing, middleware, API routes)
• Proven experience integrating software with AI models and platforms (e.g., OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, Anthropic), and using agentic frameworks/SDKs in JS/TS (e.g., LangChain.js, Semantic Kernel for JS)
• Experience building RAG pipelines and integrating vector stores
• Designing and implementing REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices (Express, Fastify, NestJS)
• Data modeling with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB); query optimization; data integrity and security
• Testing and quality practices: unit/integration testing (Jest, Vitest), linters, type‑safe design, CI/CD, Git
• Observability: logging, metrics, tracing
• Asynchronous and concurrency patterns in Node.js (event loop, promises, streams, worker threads, queues)
• Experience working in an international environment and with third parties
• Experience delivering new products to commercial launch
