Job Title

Freelance E-Commerce & Operations Manager (Part-Time)

About MIMIR

MIMIR is a premium menswear brand based in Milan, merging Nordic minimalism, mythological symbolism, and quiet luxury. With our SS26 collection in final development and a Milan Fashion Week pop-up on the horizon, we are building a brand ecosystem rooted in emotional storytelling, modern craftsmanship, and precise execution.

As we scale our operations, we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Freelance E-Commerce & Operations Manager to join our small, focused team. You will play a pivotal role in executing and managing the brand’s backend infrastructure—from e-commerce operations to inventory, logistics, and coordination with our global supply chain.

This is a part-time freelance opportunity (2 days per week) with the potential for a long-term partnership as the brand expands.

Role Overview

This position is ideal for a proactive, hands-on freelance operator who thrives in early-stage environments and has a strong background in fashion e-commerce and logistics.

You will work directly with the founder and external creative/technical teams to ensure MIMIR’s operations run efficiently—from managing product drops on Shopify, to tracking stock, creating purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers and our warehouse (KLN Freight Sweden).

The role is remote-flexible, though Milan-based candidates are preferred for in-person coordination during content days, fittings, or events.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce Operations

  • Manage the Shopify store backend: uploads, collections, pricing, and SEO
  • Coordinate product launches and asset updates in line with campaign schedules
  • Oversee product categorization, tagging, and conversion optimization
  • Ensure smooth order flow, returns coordination, and customer service support

Inventory & Supply Chain

  • Track and manage inventory across factories, warehouse (KLN), and e-commerce operation
  • Forecast stock needs and handle restocking schedules
  • Reconcile stock levels between warehouse and platform (manual or via ERP/Sheets)
  • Coordinate shipments with 3PL providers and global suppliers

Administrative & Production Support

  • Generate and manage purchase orders, invoice tracking, and payment follow-ups
  • Liaise with suppliers in Italy, China, Turkey, and Sweden for delivery timelines
  • Maintain internal dashboards and Google Sheets for operational visibility
  • Support sample coordination and returns from press, stylists, and creators

Digital Campaign Support

  • Assist with uploading and scheduling campaign drops in Shopify
  • Support Klaviyo email campaign asset prep and basic scheduling
  • Maintain internal launch calendars and campaign checklists
Candidate Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in e-commerce operations or logistics (preferably in fashion)
  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • Proficient in:
    • Shopify (backend)
    • Google Sheets / Excel (advanced)
    • Basic ERP or stock systems
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with a reliable freelance work ethic
  • Able to work independently while managing deadlines and communications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Based in Milan or able to travel occasionally for key moments
  • Experience working with premium or luxury DTC brands
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo, Notion, Slack, or project management tools
  • Deep interest in Nordic design, minimalism, or fashion as storytelling
Position Details
