Overview

For our client, a large company within an industrial group operating in the semi-durable goods market with commercial branches worldwide, we are searching for an Export Director. The position is open to candidates currently holding the role of Export Director or Senior Export Manager, with proven expertise in leading international sales. Reporting directly to the CEO, the manager will be responsible for:

  • Defining and implementing commercial strategies for the development of international markets, specifically within the retail channel (excluding contract business), in alignment with top management.
  • Leading and coordinating the sales team (3 Export Area Managers plus foreign subsidiary), ensuring efficiency, motivation, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitoring the sales force and its performance, including through joint customer visits.
  • Working in close synergy with other corporate functions (Marketing, Technical Office, Purchasing and Planning, etc.).
  • Preparing regular reports and data analyses aimed at monitoring revenues and ensuring achievement of budget targets.
Responsibilities
  • Leading and coordinating the sales team to achieve international sales objectives.
  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies for international markets, in particular the retail channel.
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Technical Office, Purchasing and Planning to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Monitoring and reporting on revenues, performance, and budget achievement.
Qualifications
  • Solid experience as an Export Director or Senior Export Manager, preferably within the B2B channel.
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • A results-driven mindset, analytical skills, and market vision.
  • Availability to travel internationally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of German and/or French is a plus.
  • A background in technical industries characterized by high levels of product customization will be considered a strong asset.
