A leading engineering firm in Italy seeks an Offshore Pipelines Expert to join their Offshore Pipelines team. You will verify the technical integrity of pipeline systems, prepare technical reports, and ensure compliance with international standards. Qualified candidates should have a degree in mechanical or civil engineering, at least three years of relevant experience, and good knowledge of FEM software. As an Offshore Pipelines Expert, you will be part of EniProgetti. Specifically, you will be part of the Offshore Pipelines team, where you will perform, supervise, and validate specialized technical calculations (mechanical, hydraulic, structural, etc.) throughout all phases of design, construction, installation, and testing.

Main activities

• Verification of the overall technical integrity of rigid pipeline/riser systems and subsea structures
• Preparation and review of technical reports and project documentation (stress analysis, flow assurance, structural checks, etc.)
• Verifying compliance of installation activities with international standards, company guidelines and best engineering practices
• Manage accuracy of cost estimates and activity planning
• Definition and validation of design assumptions for rigid duct/riser systems
• Supervision of subcontracted design activities
• Technical evaluation of ITT offers
• Planning, review and follow-up of procurement, construction, installation and commissioning
• Support the project team in identifying and planning pipeline design and installation activities
• Preparation of detailed programs for offshore activities
• Verification and review of contractors' installation plans
• Monitoring of installation activities, management of deviations and proposal of solutions
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications and company procedures (including HSEQ)
• Technical interface with contractors and other departments

Required characteristics

• A degree in an engineering field, preferably in mechanical or civil engineering. Other qualifications, including lower qualifications, may be considered based on significant experience in the role.
• At least 3 years' experience in similar roles
• Experience with FEM software (Abaqus, Ansys) and use of pipeline design software
• Construction and installation skills: integration testing, installation, offshore installation supervision, basic welding knowledge
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Availability for mobility
