A leading recruitment firm in food ingredients is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing in Northern Italy. The role involves developing sales and marketing strategies to achieve growth targets in Europe and requires a solid track record in B2B sales within the food industry. A relevant degree and fluency in English and Italian are essential.

Competenze

  • Successful track record in building and growing sales and profitability in the food ingredient business.
  • Closing sales with senior-level customers including Directors and VPs.
  • Fluent in English and Italian; other European languages a plus.

Role

The Director of Sales & Marketing develops and directs all sales, marketing and business development activities in Europe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop a sales and marketing plan to achieve set growth targets.
  • Develop and manage an effective sales and distributor team.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Successful track record of building and growing sales and profitability in a food ingredient business (e.g., Flavours, Colours, Extracts, Powders).
  • Closing sales and satisfying customers at senior levels including Directors, VPs and owners/executives.
  • Highly self‑motivated; able to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong fit with the Company’s culture and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with a preference for sciences or food technology/ingredients and/or MBA.
  • Fluent in English, Italian and other European languages are an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a B2B sales environment within the food industry.
  • This is a B2B job.
  • Not a job for candidates coming from FMCG, Horeca, Hotels or Restaurants.
