Una banca innovativa in Italia cerca un DPE Lead per gestire l'ufficio di protezione dei dati. Sarai responsabile della conformità al GDPR e delle politiche di protezione dei dati. Il candidato ideale dovrà avere almeno 5 anni di esperienza nel settore bancario e una laurea in giurisprudenza. Competenze

The DPE Lead manages the local Data Protection Executive (DPE) Office, which oversees the coordination of all actions within the Bank to ensure compliance with the data protection regulation. The DPE Office is responsible for driving ING Italy towards full compliance with GDPR and ING Group Policies and Control Standard, together with local regulation around data protection.

The DPE Lead works in close collaboration with the Data Protection Officer (DPO), which provides advice and supervises compliance with the ING Group and local regulation.

The DPE Lead hierarchically reports to ING Italy Chief Data Officer, in alignment with the ING CDO Office model defined at the Group level.

Key Responsibilities
  • She / he is the hierarchical manager of the members of the DPE office
  • She / he drives, organizes and monitors the overall set of activities in the DPE Office scope and reports status and any issues to the CDO in the first place and if necessary to the DPE (the DPE role is on the COO)

Here is a subset of the activities that the DPE office is called to execute :

  • Support departments to be compliant with the GPDP Requirements
  • Perform local gap analysis (together with the BU DPO)
  • Create a roadmap to implement new requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or local more stringent requirements
  • Create updates on compliance with data protection requirements for the Local Data Protection Committee and / or NFRC as well as input to the periodic reports to the Bank DPO and Bank DPE in line with the GPDP
  • Support departments with performing the Data Protection Risk Assessment (DPIA), Transfer Impact Assessment and Legitimate Interest Assessment and any other specific data protection related assessment, in cooperation with the DPO
  • Administrate the Register of Processing of Personal Data (Data Protection Repository)
  • Manages the Data Breach process, according to the related local procedure
  • Deliver training sessions to the Bank’s staff as per plan and content defined with the DPO
  • Manage the requests of exercise of Individual Rights coming from the Clients
  • Manage consent and privacy notices / statements
  • Execute periodical Key Control Testing on Local GDPR Policy and Standards
  • Support DPO in interacting with data protection authority if required
  • Organize the Data protection and privacy committee as per local governance
  • Escalates to DPO (or to the Data Protection Committee) if departments deviate from advices given.

External exposure

  • Country reference for ING international working table for data protection and privacy
  • Bank reference for data protection execution and privacy matters
Educational and experience Qualifications
  • Degree in law or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably in banking
  • Subject matter expert in privacy and data protection
  • Experience in implementing or running a data protection organization or project preferably in banking
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Good understanding in digital environment and associated constraints
  • Familiar with risk management framework
  • Fluent in English
