Control Field Service Engineer – Baker Hughes

Responsibilities
- Provide on‑site technical direction on control systems installation, including loop checks, system tests during start‑up, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance on customer‑owned sites in remote oil & field, power generation and industrial facilities.
- Prepare job‑planning documents that define the control system scope of installation, upgrade and maintenance projects.
- Supervise positioning and wiring of control panels such as Unit Control Panel (UCP), auxiliary panels, Direct Current Panel (DCP), battery charger and cells, Generator Control & Protection Panel (GCPP), Motor Control Center (MCC) and related electrical/pneumatic field wiring.
- Oversee troubleshooting and start‑up of control panels and control sequencing for rotating, driven equipment and auxiliary systems.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, plans, daily and weekly briefing reports for customers and internal cross‑functional teams.
- Ensure internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed and completed according to company standards.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or high‑school diploma with substantial control systems experience gained in an energy or oil & gas environment.
- Good working knowledge of control systems for rotating equipment installation and maintenance, with experience of DLN/DLE mapping.
- Strong awareness of Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors or Steam Turbines and their auxiliaries; customer‑service orientation.
- Health, Safety and Environmental mindset and compliance.
- Experience on DLE (Dry Low Emission) and DLN (Dry Low NOx) systems mapping.
- Knowledge of GE Speedtronic turbine control panels and PLC control panels.
- Excellent command of verbal and written English; EU passport or European work permit and proficiency in Italian.
- Ready to travel significantly (up to 70%) without geographical restriction, including offshore facilities.
