The ideal candidate will have a Law degree and 5-8 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the energy or construction sectors. Strong English and Italian proficiency is required, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. Position

The Contract Manager mission will be to support the Legal team during the development and execution of the project(s). The person will be the key interface for all commercial, contractual and financial aspects of the contract(s) during their execution.

The person will get the opportunity to work in a high‑profile environment and join an international and dynamic team used to working under pressure and collaborating to reach key deadlines and goals. This role requires an individual with personal confidence, legal acumen and business savvy to operate in a highly regulated industry.

This position will be based in Milan (Italy), flexibility to travel for work is required.

Responsibilities
  • Interface with all internal departments to ensure compliance with contract’s obligations, company policies and applicable laws;
  • Identify contract’s risks and opportunities to protect and enhance the project performance;
  • Proactively develop and share adequate contract management strategies;
  • Administer project’s communications, negotiate contract amendments, variation orders and settlement agreements;
  • Manage contract claims, coordinate with the Legal Team in case of dispute;
  • Support other functions in the negotiation of contracts with clients and suppliers/subcontractors;
  • Drive "on time" payment from customers;
  • Set-up and continuously improve NHOA processes and standards.
Requirements
EDUCATION

The Contract Manager must have a Law degree and 5-8 years of experience as contract manager or legal counsel in a legal department of an energy or construction company or international law firm.

Skills & Requirements
  • Hard skills:
  • Fluent in English and Italian, other languages will be a distinct advantage;
  • Proven track record in the following areas: contract management, claims management for engineering/construction projects, dispute resolution, contract negotiation;
  • Familiarity with large sized EPC projects and standard forms of project contracts (ie. FIDIC);
  • Appetency for technical matters and the renewable energy sector;
  • Ability to find workable solutions to complex legal and technical questions;
  • Soft skills:
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, and hardworking;
  • Curious by nature;
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain output under pressure;
