Overview

Mandarin Oriental, Milan is looking for a Commis de Rang to join our Room Service. Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Room Service Department in Milan, the Commis de Rang is responsible to delight and satisfy our guests. We are dedicated to making a difference every day and continually improve to ensure we are the best. The Commis de Rang reports to the Room Service Manager.

As Commis de Rang, you will be responsible for the following duties :

Responsibilities

• Follow the entering guest room rules and policies.
• Set up of trolleys as per standard and delivery of In Room Dining orders to guest rooms and service apartments.
• Able to explain the ordered dishes in the guest room and present them attractively.
• Ensure guests receive a personalized in room dining experience, performed in a timely and complete manner.
• Perform any tasks relating to billing according to hotel standards and cashiering policies.
• Ensure all dishes are presented in compliance with hotel standards and food & beverage specifications.
• Distribute all guest amenities as required.
• Conserve all outlet equipment and utensils in good conditions by proper day to day handling of all applicable utensils and by carrying out required side duties as assigned.
• Assist in picking up all required stocks, including linen, beverage, dried goods and others and arrange them accordingly. Any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the IRD Manager.
• Ensure product knowledge is up to date.
• Listen to every guest and observe body language carefully in order to be able to understand guest needs and expectations and consistently delight and satisfy every guest.
