A leading catering company in Milan is looking for a Commis Chef to join their team. The role offers a full-time, permanent contract with working hours from Monday to Friday. You will produce food for breakfast and lunch using fresh ingredients while adhering to hygiene and health standards. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a passion for food and excellent customer service skills. A valid 'Right to Work in Italy' is required, along with a criminal record certificate.

Commis Chef - Monday to Friday
Milan
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: € 12 per hour
Hours: 40 per week

A leading coeducational day international school for students 2-18 years. Catering for about 550 students, we offer a core feeding of AMSnack and Lunch with some hospitality at this location. This operation runs Monday to Friday and is a term time only contract operating 43 weeks per year.

We are looking for a talented Commis Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Milan.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

  • To work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch & hospitality
  • To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
  • Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
  • Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great team player

Knowledge / competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
