CLOUD ARCHITECT

Within MSC Technology IT Architecture Team and under its governance, the Cloud Architect will be a key contributor to pave our cloud architecture evolution journey from current Microsoft Azure IaaS to value adding Azure SaaS / PaaS capabilities.

The Cloud Architect will work with the IT Architecture Team and other cross-functional teams located in Switzerland, Italy, India and North America in the context of the fast-growing IT organization and increasing Information System complexity.

She / he is expected to support the IT Architecture Team mission :

• Define architecture standards, guidelines and quality requirements
• Provide expertise for strength and quality of product architecture & design
• Check compliance with architecture requirements quality in all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Govern the lifecycle of technical products and shared components
• She / he is expected to be a good team player, to have excellent interpersonal skills, to be open-minded, curious and autonomous, and to possess a culture of feedback, so she / he can better embrace and promote our Team’s values
• Promote the global vision of MSC IT landscape to support business goals realization
• Commit on the roadmap objectives, engage, foster agile mindset to adapt priorities to justified changes
• Collaborate with all the Teams, delivery minded and goal-oriented
• Share knowledge and expertise to lead Teams from guidance to empowerment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Elaborate strategies and roadmaps to support the evolution journey from current Microsoft Azure IaaS to value-adding Azure SaaS / PaaS capabilities

Federate and get buy-in from other Technical Leaders and IT Managers toward a shared and accepted cloud architecture vision

Participate to the migration of our current Axway API Management solution (IaaS) to the selected Microsoft or Axway PaaS API Management solution

Ensures compliance with other non-functional requirements, like security, performance, business continuity

Update applicable architecture standards, guidelines, best practices and supporting documentation; set controls

Identify limits and constraints of current technologies, elaborate the business cases to justify a change toward suitable Azure services

Share expertise, professional experience and guidance to support the successful delivery of the various initiatives, projects and improvements in scope of Azure Architecture

Deliver training and provide guidance to the products and cross-functional Teams

Participate as expert to root cause analysis and to lessons learnt.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Remain current on trends and innovation in IT and Microsoft Azure

Develop a mutually respectful working relationship with all staff to ensure a strong Team effort in all activities

Anticipate and address potential issues leveraging previous experience and strong problem solving skills

Provide timely, complete and accurate responses to all internal customers’ questions and inquiries in a positive and constructive manner

Complete tasks and Projects as required by the Company.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

At least one significant experience in implementing a cloud strategy on Azure (R)

At least 5 years of experience in software, integration, enterprise architecture at mid or large scale missions for critical projects (R)

Work experience in an international context, in English (P)

Technical

Microsoft Azure : expert level (R) - ASB + Azure Search

Azure Gateway

Application integration (API, messaging, streaming, …) : specialist level (R)

API Development - C# MVC

Integration architecture skills : integration patterns, API integration, data integration, modern middleware solutions knowledge

Azure Dev Ops skills (P)

Scripting languages related to Azure : specialist level (P)

SQL Server database knowledge

MS Office products (P)

Infrastructure knowledge (Windows Server)

Network knowledge

Relevant Azure certifications will be considered as plus. In particular :
