A leading global automotive company based in Piacenza, Italy, is seeking a Buyer for the Purchasing Department. This entry-level position involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, and ensuring objectives related to savings and quality are met. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics or Business Administration, at least 2 years of experience in purchasing, and strong negotiation and communication skills. A proactive mindset and adaptability are essential for success in this role.

Within the Purchasing Department, we are looking for a new resource for the ASTRA V.I. SpA Piacenza Site

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define agreement with serial production suppliers and main Iveco vendors Partner using his/her full knowledge on the supply base, competitive landscape and industry trend;
• understand the contents of the negotiation and financial aspects of the supplier. Autonomous and effective in guiding and managing a negotiation in all its tasks/roles/phases, producing visible results;
• Use the relevant tools to select suppliers and allocate business and manage the relationships with the assigned suppliers. For the managed suppliers achieve the objectives of savings, quality and timing.

GENERAL BACKGROUND

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics / Business Administration / Accounting field;
• At least 2+ years of experience in purchasing / procurement offices as specialist in automotive / manufactaturing / machining companies;
• Relevant product knowledge;
• IT educated with strong Office Package skills and attitude;
• Language skills: Italian mothertongue; English professional; a third language is considered a plus.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
