Experis is looking for an Antenna & Microwave Engineer for our Client, leader in the Aerospace & Defence sector:

How your contribution will make a difference
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Antenna & Microwave Engineer to join our Client in Rome, focusing on cutting-edge Radar and Communication systems for defense and aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have strong theoretical and practical expertise in antenna design, testing, and integration.
You will be responsible for the following activities:

Define technical specifications and detailed operational requirements for antenna systems.

Develop innovative radiating element solutions for radar and communication platforms.

Plan and manage antenna development activities across all project phases, ensuring compliance with program and product requirements.

Prepare comprehensive technical documentation (Technical Specifications, Test Plans, Test Reports, etc.) in accordance with internal standards and procedures.

Conduct antenna validation and characterization in Anechoic Chambers and Near Field Test Ranges.

Execute electromagnetic simulations to evaluate installed antenna patterns and electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMI/EMC).

Characteristics of the person we are looking for:

Solid knowledge of Antenna Theory, Phased Array Synthesis, and Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) Antenna Design for radar and communication applications.

Familiarity with electromagnetic wave propagation and scattering principles.

Proficiency in commercial computational electromagnetics tools such as: CST Microwave Studio, Ansys HFSS, FEKO, Ansys Designer, SAVANT

Experience with far-field and near-field antenna measurements, including the use of: Network Analyzers, Power Meters, RF Signal Generators

Data processing skills using MATLAB.

Master’s Degree in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering.

Specialization in UWB Antenna Design, Computational Electromagnetics, Phased Array Design, or Electromagnetic Propagation is highly desirable.

Fluent in Italian & English (written and spoken).

Offer: permanent contract, employment level and salary to be adjusted according to the candidate's experience and skills
