The Discovery Team delivers consumer-facing data insights in the Alation Data Catalog by working on our best-in-class search engine. We are integrating machine-learning technologies into our architecture, which handles big data problems while achieving near real-time performance. We cooperate closely with the Product Team and our customers to ensure a first-class experience.

1. Work with the product team to deliver solutions to customer problems.
2. Write clean, tested, and well-documented code.
3. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
4. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure code quality.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and shipping software products and/or n-tier services.
• Proficiency in Python or experience with an equivalent object-oriented language like C# or Java.
• Exposure to data modeling in RDBMS and/or document data stores.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for learning and staying current with the latest technologies.

• Proficiency with React UX development.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and/or Docker.
• Exposure to querying in Elasticsearch.
