Role Description
  • Overall responsibility for planning, execution, and control of machine shop operations supporting steel casting products.
  • Lead machining activities including CNC/VMC/HMC/Lathe operations to meet production, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, tooling, and fixtures to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
  • Coordinate closely with foundry, quality, maintenance, and planning teams to ensure smooth flow from casting to finished components.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to machining accuracy, rejection reduction, process optimization, and cost control.
  • Monitor KPIs, machining performance, downtime, and corrective actions, and report regularly to top management.
  • Develop and manage senior engineers, supervisors, and operators to maintain high operational discipline and performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven senior management experience in machine shop operations within a steel casting manufacturing environment.
  • Same manufacturing experience: Candidates with prior experience in manufacturing organizations engaged in steel castings and machining of heavy engineering components will be preferred.
  • Strong exposure to CNC machining processes, production planning, and capacity management.
