As a Lecturer in Dance you will prepare, deliver and assess modules in your specialist areas of dance. You will make contributions to a range of modules through your experience of engaging with dance industries and practices.

BA (Hons) Dance at De Montfort University sits within the new School ofCreative Industries and Culture, as part of the new Faculty of Technology, Artsand Culture. The programme currently sits within a vibrant cluster ofprogrammes that includes: BA (Hons) Acting, BA (Hons) Drama and TheatreArts and BA (Hons) Creative Writing; and a burgeoning research studentcommunity.

Role
As a Lecturer in Dance you will prepare, deliver and assess modules in yourspecialist areas of dance in three or more of the following areas:
You will make contributions to a range of modules through your experience ofengaging with dance industries and practices. Additionally, you will engage incontinuing professional development and use your research and/or professional practice to inform the curriculum and make a substantialcontribution to the academic and reputational development of the subject area.Working closely with the Subject Group Lead, the Programme Leader forDance, and the subject team, you will organise, deliver and evaluate theprogramme, modules and the students’ experience.
The role is on a permanent full-time basis. Due to start 1st September 2025.
This role would be suitable for lecturers or experienced practitioners with apassion to train the next generation of dance practitioners.
