Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a precision engineering team in Ferndown. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls and Mastercam software. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and a four-day work week.

Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Salary: Up to £22 per hour
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Thursday (4-day week)
We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join a precision engineering team in Ferndown. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys working with Fanuc-controlled milling machines and programming offline with Mastercam. You'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC mills to produce high-quality components for a range of industries.
- Offline programming using Mastercam.
- Setting and operating Fanuc CNC milling machines.
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
- Selecting tooling, workholding, and ensuring accurate setups.
- Carrying out first-off inspections and maintaining quality standards.
- Working closely with the team to meet production deadlines.
- Strong CNC milling background with Fanuc controls.
- Proven experience in offline programming (Mastercam).
- Ability to set and operate machines independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with a proactive approach.
