Description

We are looking for a Part‑Time ServiceNow Developer to contribute to the ongoing development, configuration and maintenance of our enterprise ServiceNow platform. If you have 3 years of hands‑on experience developing within the platform and are seeking a flexible part‑time role this is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills across various modules and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
Development & Scripting
  • Write, test and deploy client‑side scripts (Client Scripts, UI Policies) and server‑side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions) using JavaScript / Glide.
  • Build and maintain Service Catalog items including complex variable configurations and advanced workflows.
  • Utilise low‑code tools like Flow Designer to automate and streamline business processes.
Configuration & Customisation
  • Design and enhance user interfaces including maintaining and developing custom widgets for the Service Portal.
Maintenance & Quality Assurance
  • Manage Update Sets for migrating configurations and code between development, test and production environments.
  • Participate in testing activities including developing and executing test plans for new features and platform upgrades.
  • Perform routine platform administration tasks including user management, data imports and security rule (ACL) configuration.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with the ServiceNow Product Owner and Engineering Lead to refine requirements and propose technical solutions that align with best practices.
  • Take part in regular Agile / Scrum meetings (e.g. sprint planning, daily stand‑ups) to report progress and estimate work effort.
Qualifications
Experience
  • 3 years of hands‑on experience in ServiceNow development – building and maintaining an enterprise‑level instance with worldwide deployment.
  • Experience working with the Agile development framework.
  • Experience in an ITIL environment.
Technical Proficiency
  • JavaScript / Glide scripting.
Certifications (Highly Preferred)

Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

Process Knowledge

Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ITIL concepts.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical problem‑solving and time‑management skills essential for working effectively in a part‑time capacity.
