Overview

Group Financial Reporting Accountant
At IVC Evidensia, we are a leading veterinary services provider in Europe and North America with more than 2,500 clinics and hospitals across 20 countries and around 41,000 employees. IVC Evidensia exists to champion the long-term health and welfare of animals and deliver our purpose of Healthy Animals, Happy Owners.

The Group is in an exciting period, with continued growth and a strong acquisition pipeline, and the completion of an Oracle ERP project in the next year. This role is a key part of the Group Financial Reporting Team, which is responsible for consolidation and reporting, accounting policies, technical support, and leading the group audit. It will involve access to many areas of the business and a development of knowledge of the recently launched Oracle FCCS consolidation system.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Monthly Reporting
  • Prepare and review inputs for the monthly board reports, including the Monthly Fixed Asset disclosures.
  • Produce and send monthly reporting submission of KPI information to Key shareholders.
  • Input to the monthly consolidation process, including the preparation and posting of consolidation journals and the reconciliation to working files.
Oracle FCCS Support
  • Support for Oracle FCCS, the Group consolidation system, including data loads, data enrichment population and support maintaining the Chart of Accounts.
  • Ad hoc work as directed, such as testing on future Oracle development.
Year End and Audit Committee
  • Support for the preparation of annual and half year accounts, including ownership of various notes to the accounts.
  • Supporting the Group Financial Reporting team on new projects and preparing data for reports to the Audit and Risk Committee.
Experience/Qualifications
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience of consolidations of large international groups of companies and IFRS knowledge desired
  • Ability to work to month end deadlines and tight timetables
  • Experience of preparing or reviewing statutory accounts and leading on audit queries
  • A confident, enthusiastic attitude and a proactive approach
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel, Power BI) with the ability to convert complex data into useful information
  • Ability to query data and resolve issue
  • Strong communication skills
