Senior Vet Nurse – Liverpool

Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who is passionate about leadership, high clinical standards, and making a genuine difference to the wellbeing of pets and their owners.

About the Role

As a Senior Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Nurse and overseeing part of the nursing team to deliver exceptional clinical care and client service. You will line‑manage a team of up to ten veterinary nurses and care assistants, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities.

The position combines approximately 80% hands‑on clinical work with 20% management and coordination, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across theatre, inpatient care, and client consultations. You’ll also deputise for the Head Nurse during periods of absence, helping to embed preventive healthcare and wellbeing initiatives throughout the practice.

You will have excellent clinical skills and a genuine passion for leadership. Strong communication, organisation, and people‑management abilities are essential, as is a commitment to continuous professional development. The ideal candidate will lead by example, fostering teamwork, positivity, and client trust.
