GMP Cleaner

A GMP Cleaner vacancy has arisen in our fast-growing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team.

Location: Glasgow G20 0SP

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of work: Part time, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6.00pm – 9.00pm

Pay: £12.61 per hour

• Work as part of our Virology / Microbiology department on our client site in Glasgow. Complete and document routine weekly and monthly cleans of laboratories and laboratory equipment (Bio Safety Cabinet, centrifuges) surfaces and cabinets.
• Produce GDP compliant reports and documentation.
• Clean in the GMP (sterile environment) and administration areas (offices & toilets).
• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by following relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs.
• Regularly check equipment and machines used during the working day; report any faults/defects to GMP Cleaning Supervisor.
• Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to GMP Cleaning Co-ordinator / Team Leaders.
• Attend training sessions related to the post.
• Carry out duties as required by the GMP Cleaning Co-ordinator / Team Leaders.
• Liaise daily with other members of the cleaning team, staff and customers.

• Previous cleaning experience.
• A good level of written and spoken English.
• General good health and reasonable fitness (standing for most of the day).
• Prepared to wear full uniform at all times.
• Prepared to work to strict timelines in isolated areas and follow stringent dress codes relevant to GMP.
• Prepared to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with working instructions / procedures.
• Good standard of IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Flexible regarding the ability to support other shift patterns when required.

• Experience within a similar industry.
• Team worker with a flexible approach.
• Knowledge of COSHH.
• An understanding of GMP and quality systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Machinery skills.
