A local government entity is looking for a Project Officer to support the Micro Provider Project within the Independence & Wellbeing Team. This role involves empowering local individuals to create sustainable enterprises in adult social care. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, an understanding of adult social care, and the ability to manage various workloads. Candidates must demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK. Part-time hours may be considered.
Project Officer - Micro Provider Project - Independence & Wellbeing Team (IWT) Adult Social Care - secondment/fixed term opportunity for up to 18 months due to the Micro Provider Project., Within this role you will support the delivery of the Micro Provider programme project. The purpose of the project is to empower local individuals and community organisations to create small, sustainable enterprises that deliver innovative, person-centred care and support, particularly for those who require assistance at home or within their local communities. Although the project will be led by the Team leader, you will be expected to work closely with them contributing to the planning, development and delivery of the programme whilst maintaining accurate up to date records. This will include identifying and supporting individuals in establishing micro-enterprises whilst developing strong working relationships. You will provide guidance, encouragement and practical assistance whilst promoting the programme whether that be through digital platforms or whilst out in the community.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of Adult Social care and a desire to innovate and improve it. Community minded you will be creative and proactive and passionate about supporting people. You will need to be organised and self motivated with the ability to manage a varied workload. With an understanding of asset based community development and safeguarding, you will be able to understand the legal frameworks around HMRC, CQC, insurance and other regulatory requirements. As well as excellent IT skills you will be able to work flexibly to meet business needs as you may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. In addition you will be a car driver with access to a car as you will be moving promotional material across the City.

Salary: Band: 7, £32,061- £36,363, (£25,995 - £29,483 for 30 hours), 37 hours per week (although part time hours would be considered, no less than 30 hours). Please indicate on your application the hours you will be applying for. There may be occasional weekend and/or evening work.
