Job Overview

BCHC are now seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join the team in Birmingham, playing a vital role in the project management of Capital and other projects. The successful candidate will be professionally responsible for the complete Project Management from inception to completion of minor Capital & other Projects for Birmingham Community NHS Foundation Trust and other clients as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in space utilisation projects to reduce the Estate and maximise utilisation.
  • Participate in mobilisations for new contracts and assist with Capital Programmes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design, programming and financial management of schemes.
  • Inspect properties and supervise/coordinate external consultants, contractors & site inspectors.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and provide expert professional advice on scheme briefs, budgets, timescales and logistics.
  • Ensure projects are procured to the appropriate professional, technical & quality standards and maintain a patient focus.
Qualifications
  • Excellent project management skills gained managing capital projects and minor capital works; NHS experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or MICAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project).
  • Preferably hold a project management certification.
  • Diverse professional background with a related discipline such as RICS, CIOB or equivalent Construction or Engineering experience is desirable.
