Job Title: Asbestos Project Manager
Location: Manchester, North West

Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Project Manager through to Lead Asbestos Project Manager

Profile: We are currently recruiting for an experienced and professional Asbestos Project Manager to oversee a mixed portfolio of contracts across the North West. Our client is a national UKAS Asbestos Consultancy, with a reputation for delivering a wide range of environmental compliance duties to long-standing clients. Candidates will ideally hold the CCP or CoCA qualification but the client would consider applications from strong Asbestos Consultant / Project Managers who hold the P402 / P403 / P404 qualification and hands on experience managing a team of site staff across commercial, industrial and domestic sites, a good working knowledge of relevant Health and safety legislations and proven track record of working in a client facing role; providing consultancy advice and attending client meetings.

Experience & Qualifications

• Preferably holds the CoCA or CCP qualification.
• Hold the P402 / P403 / P404 or equivalent RSPH qualifications (minimum).
• Proven track record of working within the asbestos industry, in a Principle / Lead Consultant or Project Management position.
• Experience seeing both short and long-term asbestos projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HSG guidelines.
• Current / Previous experience working within a client facing position, ideally providing clients with consultancy advice.
• Fully competent in using handheld PDA and/or industry recognised databases.

The Role

• Working across Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare, Retail and Leisure, overseeing surveying and analytical projects, ensuring all work is carried out in line with company procedures and relevant Health and Safety Legislations.
• Undertaking Asbestos Analytical and Surveying Site work where needed.
• Creating site specific RAMS.
• Producing detailed reports, tenders, and quotations for clients.
• Attending meeting prior to beginning of projects, as well as regular progress meetings.
• Managing a team of Surveyor / Analysts, providing on‑going training and support.
• Liaising with clients, providing consultancy advice, answering enquiries and giving regular updates to ensure work is completed within agreed time frame.
