A local care service provider in Bonnyrigg is seeking a carer to assist a disabled man at home. Responsibilities include personal care and engagement through conversation and entertainment. Candidates should be friendly, observant, and willing to join the PVG scheme. The role offers £13.07 per hour for 12 hours a week, with opportunities for overtime.
Qualifications
- Must be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join.
- Must be fine with dogs.
Responsabilités
- Assisting with personal care, washing, dressing, PEG feeding, etc.
- Engaging the man with conversation, audiobooks, films and music.
Connaissances
Carer required to assist a disabled man living in his family home in Bonnyrigg.
- Assisting with personal care, washing, dressing, PEG feeding, etc.
- Engaging the man with conversation, audiobooks, films and music. His main interests are music and comedy.
- All training will be provided by the family and other carer.
- Observant with good initiative, friendly and chatty.
- Must be fine with dogs.
- Must be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join.
- Rate of pay: £13.07 per hour.
- Post is for 12 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday 10:00–16:00.
- Option of overtime to cover holidays and sickness.
