Overview

Our Screening team plays a vital role in protecting the public by assessing initial concerns raised about nurses, midwives and nursing associates. As the first stage in our Fitness to Practise process, the team ensures that each referral is reviewed efficiently, thoroughly, and fairly, helping to determine what regulatory action-if any-is needed. You'll be joining a small but high-performing legal-administrative team responsible for managing sensitive information, progressing cases, and upholding the integrity of our regulatory process. The work is fast-paced and meaningful, with every case contributing to public safety and professional accountability.

Responsibilities

Your role and impact

  • You'll be responsible for processing incoming referrals and supporting the progression of cases through our fitness to practise system. This includes reviewing documents, managing correspondence, updating internal systems, and maintaining accurate case records. Your work will directly support case reviewers and decision-makers, ensuring that the right information is available at the right time. You'll play a key role in keeping our processes moving efficiently, enabling us to take timely action to protect the public.

  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
