Due to continued growth we are looking for a motivated Labourer (Manufacturing) to support our back shift production processes.

Role Profile:

This role involves working with laser cutting and folding equipment, moving and handling sheet metal, unloading the paint line, wrapping and packing products, and performing general duties around the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

Laser and Folding Support:

Assist with the setup and unloading of laser cutting machines and press brakes

Handle cut and folded parts with care to prevent damage or deformation

Organise and stack processed materials in the correct locations

Material Handling:

Fetch and transport raw materials and sheet metal to workstations

Load/unload materials manually or using pallet jacks, forklifts, or trolleys

Ensure proper stock rotation and keep material storage areas tidy

Unloading the Paint Line:

Remove painted components from the paint line

Visually inspect for paint defects and sort accordingly

Wrapping and Packing:

Wrap metal products using protective materials (e.g. foam, shrink wrap)

Pack items securely for storage or dispatch following company standards

General Labouring Duties:

Clean and maintain work areas

Assist machine operators, welders, and other skilled staff

Help with loading/unloading deliveries and other shop floor tasks as needed

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes:

• Previous experience in a skilled labouring role
• Knowledge of sheet metal work is desirable but not essential
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
• Strong physical fitness with the capability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work.
• A valid driving licence is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Commitment to health and safety practices on site.

• Hourly rate: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour (DOE)
