We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing, optimising, and evolving the Datacore Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform — enabling the delivery of critical Data products that power our business.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day technical operations of the Datacore — implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the data solutions for our OT business needs. You’ll help shape our digital future optimising the infrastructure/applications and technology that make up the platform focusing on improving efficiency and consistency.
As part of our Digital Engineering practice, you’ll be embedded within a high-energy, fast-paced environment, collaborating with talented professionals across disciplines. You’ll work closely with our Platform Teams, driving infrastructure improvements, identifying opportunities for continuous service optimisation, and ensuring our Datacore capabilities keep pace with business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Data Engineer, working within our Operational Technology (DataCore) team you’ll play a hands-on role in implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the data solutions for our OT business needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering Data solutions for our Operational technology (OT) needs which will include creating ingestion pipelines, applying data cleansing rules and integrating with various systems
Delivering and configuring data-focused application changes
Monitoring performance of the data-focused applications you are charged with
Ensuring our data products meet service commitments and provide automated performance insights
Troubleshooting and preventing operational issues
Automating provisioning, testing, and deployment processes
Maintaining and enforcing best-practice operational procedures
Leading and contributing to Communities of Practice to drive continuous improvement and innovation

Key Skills and experience:
Highly proficient in Python and SQL
Proficient in Datacore application stack
Proficient in technologies like Bicep, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Proficient in Data Pipelines (both low code and Azure)
Experience in configuring and maintaining IIoT applications such as TimeSeries Databases or Industrial Data Ops Tools
Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and methodologies
Working Knowledge of Service Management processes, specifically Change, Incident, Event, Configuration and Problem Management
