Job Title: Engineering Lead – Public Cloud Platform
Salary: £124,653 - £146,650
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in office, subject to team requirements)
We’re modernising our technology estate using cloud platforms to provide services that are fast, secure, resilient for customers, and modern, simple and sustainable for our engineers. Our Cloud Platform underpins the Group's transformation, delivering capabilities primarily on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
As an Engineering Lead, you will lead a large engineering organisation of approximately 75–150 engineers, working in partnership with a Lead Product Owner and reporting to the Cloud Platform Director.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Apigee.
Your role will combine strategic engineering leadership, team empowerment, and modern engineering excellence. You’ll work closely with product, architecture and engineering colleagues to deliver high‑quality cloud capabilities across the Group.
