The Person

We are looking for an experienced and motivated HPC specialist with a strong understanding of Linux‑based compute environments and a passion for performance engineering. You should bring several years of hands‑on experience in high‑demand technical environments, ideally with exposure to motorsport, or other simulation‑heavy industries.

You will need strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, alongside experience with automation tools such as Python or Bash. Knowledge of HPC scheduling (e.g., Slurm or Kubernetes), parallel computing, GPU workloads, and high‑speed interconnects such as InfiniBand will be valuable.

We’re looking for someone who is diligent, considerate, and able to work collaboratively across multiple teams. You should be confident managing multiple priorities, communicating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and contributing to a positive and team‑focused environment.

Ideally, you will have strong experience in several of the following areas:

  • Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, Rocky Linux 10).
  • HPC cluster management and scheduling (Slurm, Kubernetes).
  • Simulation and engineering applications within HPC environments.
  • Enterprise storage platforms, ideally including parallel filesystems.
  • InfiniBand or other high‑speed data‑centre networking.
  • Virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Nutanix AHV.
  • CUDA‑based GPU compute workloads and GPU scheduling.
  • Monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Configuration management and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with hybrid/cloud HPC including cloud bursting strategies, containerised compute nodes or accelerated cloud platforms

You should take pride in your work, have a strong team ethic, and be committed to delivering excellent support and service to colleagues across the business.

Applicants must have permanent right to work in the UK.
