Job summary
A reputable cloud services company is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to support an immediate migration project from on-prem MySQL and Elasticsearch to GCP Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL). The role requires hands-on experience with GCP services, PostgreSQL, and data migration tooling. This position offers a remote work opportunity for candidates based anywhere in Europe, and is critical for the smooth delivery of a major cloud migration programme.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with GCP (Cloud SQL, Compute, IAM, Networking).
- Proficient in PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
- Experience with data migration tooling and performance tuning.
Responsibilities
- Support a major migration project to GCP Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL).
- Ensure performance, reliability, and smooth delivery during the migration.
- Work end-to-end on the migration process.
Skills
We need someone immediately available to support a major migration project – moving on‑prem MySQL and Elasticsearch workloads into GCP Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL). You will work end‑to‑end on the migration, ensuring performance, reliability, and smooth delivery over the next three months.
