Job Title: Locum Social Worker – Child Protection Team

Location: Leeds, UK (Hybrid Working)

Hourly Rate: £35 per hour

Working Pattern: Full-Time | 37 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm)

Contract Type: Ongoing Locum

• Apply restorative practice to promote family-led decision-making and long-term positive outcomes.
• Conduct direct, child-centred work, using strong relational skills to build trust with children and families.
• Manage a complex caseload, balancing competing priorities with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Deliver clear, well-analysed assessments and contribute to court reports and case planning.
• Participate in a collaborative, learning-focused team culture, contributing to service improvement and best practice.

• Social Work England registration
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a car
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Experience in child protection and frontline statutory services
• Comfortable with hybrid working and flexible scheduling arrangements
