Job summary
A leading Government organisation is seeking a VMware vDefend Architect Expert for a fully remote contract position. This role involves working on various security features, including ATP and firewall policy creation. The successful candidate will assist in designing and deploying security measures, support operational metrics, and engage in threat assessment activities. Applicants should have a strong background in VMware technologies and security feature implementation.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of VMware vDefend and related technologies.
- Experience in security feature deployment.
- Ability to assist in policy creation and migration.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and deployment of ATP security features.
- Help in defining standardization goals for vDefend.
- Support operational metrics and threat assessments.
Skills
We are recruiting for a leading Government organisation on contract for a VMWare vDefend Architect Expert. The role is fully remote.
The Extend Expert Team (EET) will work at the direction of the Prime Contractor and End Customer.
The VMware team will work with the business on two work streams as below:
- Focused on the Design and Deployment of ATP security features
- Focused on overall VMware vDefend security features.
- Assist deployment of the platform to support NSXi
- Assist DFW policy Creation
- Assist DFW Rule Migrations
- Assist in defining the operating model
- Assist in defining standardization goals
- Assist in defining/scaling policy structure
- Assist in defining/scaling policy operations
- Assist in building Common Services Policy (Macro)
- Assist in building Infrastructure Policy (Meso)
- Assist in building Application Policy (Micro)
- Assist with Identity Firewall
- Assist with Operational Metrics
- Assist with Capacity management
- Assist with Visibility
- Assist with enabling ATP
- Assist policy enablement (IPS/IDS)
- Assist in testing and validate
- Assist Malware Prevention tuning
- Assist threat assessment
- Assist logging and monitoring
- Assist operational metrics
- Assist in advance use cases to detect attacks
- Assist with Initial investigation using evidence chain
