We are currently recruiting for a UK-based Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work with our experienced commercial team at our North-East office. Due to planned growth for the foreseeable future, we have an opportunity for an Assistant/Graduate to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity with excellent career prospects. The role would suit someone with experience of a QS/commercial role.

• Handling, controlling, and billing of work record sheets.
• Preparing billing for a variation of work elements.
• Responding to client queries.
• Preparing applications for payment and submission to the client.
• Identifying pricing and agreeing change.
• Measurement calculations from both drawings and on site as required
• Site visits and client liaison
• Sub-contract appraisals.
• Cost reporting.
• Preparing detailed final accounts.
• General Administration and any other ad hoc duties as required

We welcome applications for this Assistant/Graduate Surveyor role from candidates with skills or experience in the following areas: commercial, QS, graduate, quantity surveyor.

Salary is based depending on experience.

• The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, working towards a Quantity Surveyor qualification.
• Highly organised and motivated.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with people at all levels.
• Ability to prioritise workload to ensure delivery is achieved within set timescales.
• Computer literate, with the ability to learn new software packages quickly.
• Plenty of initiative and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
