Job summary
A large public sector organisation is looking for a Capital Accounting Manager to lead a finance team and manage a substantial capital programme. This role involves overseeing capital accounting cycles, collaborating with key stakeholders, and contributing to strategic financial decisions. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with expertise in capital accounting and strong leadership skills. The position offers hybrid working arrangements.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners and a Trainee Accountant.
- Oversee the full cycle of capital accounting.
- Review and challenge capital forecasts and management accounts.
- Support the implementation of an enhanced capital strategy.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple sectors.
- Contribute to external funding bids and develop financial links.
