We're looking for an Operational Support Team Manager to lead our dedicated admin teams across the Mental Health sub‑division in Hampshire, including Serenity Path, Blake Day Services in Winchester and Bluebird and Austen House at Tatchbury Mount. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of our children's mental health services by providing high quality and effective administrative support, working closely with clinical leadership teams and championing service excellence.
The successful candidate must be experienced in team management, preferably in a health or social care setting, confident working across multiple sites with excellent communication skills and passionate about supporting services that change children's lives for the better.
To provide effective management and leadership to the business support function of the Children and Families Division ensuring efficient and effective business and clinical administrative support is in place across the aligned portfolio. There will be responsibility for overall line management and performance of business support staff.
To ensure all administrative requirements, developments and day to day operations within business support are implemented, building and maintaining strong relationships across the service line with both business support and clinical staff.
The role is vital in ensuring governance procedures are followed across the aligned portfolio, including the investigations of business support related breaches and incidents.
Engender a learning and supportive environment where best practice is shared across the service line and adopted as standard operating practice. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and share this knowledge across the service line to improve efficiencies, increase patient care and drive down costs.
To line manage the Admin Supervisors & clerical staff.
Support Supervisors with HR issues, rotas and ensuring adequate cover across all sites.
Responsible for dealing with administration staff recruitment, induction, sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, conduct. This will also involve ensuring mandatory training is up to date.
