Vehicle Technician
Job summary
A recruitment agency in Bath is looking for a Vehicle Technician to ensure top-notch service and repair standards. The role involves diagnosing vehicle faults, conducting road tests, and maintaining a clean workshop environment. The technician will also engage with customers and participate in training. Candidates with experience and knowledge of automotive health and safety policies are encouraged to apply. Qualifications
- Experience in servicing and repairing various types of motor vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose vehicle problems and maintain product integrity.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety policies in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver customer satisfaction in vehicle servicing and repair.
- Conduct road tests to diagnose vehicle issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop environment.
- Engage directly with customers for service updates.
Simple Recruitment are looking for a Vehicle Technician for a permanent opportunity with our client in Bath.
- To deliver customer satisfaction at all times in the service and repair of all types of motor vehicles.
- To carry out servicing and repairs in a safe and economical manner.
- Test vehicles and diagnose faults and to maintain the integrity of all product information.
- To road test vehicles and diagnose problems as and when required by the Service Advisor.
- To carry out routine servicing, warranty repairs, diagnosis of vehicle problems and general maintenance of vehicles as required.
- To maintain and develop skill levels in all aspects of repair, service and maintenance of Franchise vehicles.
- To take an active part in upholding the companies Health and Safety policy.
- To be conversant with all Manufacturer technical literature and information bulletins.
- To keep work area and protective clothing clean, tidy and in a safe condition in order to uphold the Manufacturers and Company image.
- To ensure vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customer and that faults have been reported and noted on the job card.
- To talk directly to customers when required.
- To undertake Manufacturers Training Courses as advised by the Service Manager.
- To notify Service Manager of damage or breakdown of workshop equipment or tooling.
- To identify additional work opportunities and report to Service Manager accordingly.
