Salary: £90,000 - £103,000 + car allowance & package
As Commercial Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to the regional commercial function, driving commercial excellence across multiple projects. Working closely with senior stakeholders, your remit will include:
- Leading and developing a commercial team to ensure effective delivery of framework commitments.
- Driving accuracy in forecasting and ensuring robust cost control and fee protection.
- Negotiating and managing contracts, ensuring governance is adhered to at all times.
- Partnering with procurement teams to secure best value in supply chain engagement.
- Building and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships to support smooth project delivery.
- Supporting the Senior Commercial Manager with commercial strategy, process development, and staff training.
- Deputising for senior leadership when required.
We are seeking candidates with:
- Extensive commercial management experience within a contracting environment, ideally within the water or wider infrastructure sectors.
- A strong track record at Managing Quantity Surveyor level or above, leading commercial teams on complex programmes.
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of contract management (NEC preferred) and risk management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
- Proficiency with IT-based reporting systems and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
