This busy village gastro pub located near Selby is seeking a Sous Chef to assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. The seasonally changing menus consist of Modern British dishes that are created with fresh locally sourced ingredients. The pub has a great reputation in the area and as Sous Chef you will be expected to ensure that this reputation is maintained whilst also helping to build new business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to work in a busy fresh food environment with plenty of opportunities to gain experience and progress within the company.
Requirements:
This would be an ideal role for a Sous Chef who has been working in respected volume fresh food pubs and who has had rosette training. The ability to work well under pressure when leading a team, knowledge of all sections in the kitchen, able to complete kitchen paperwork and order stock.
