Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in events, hotels, or high-end restaurants.
  • Capable of mentoring and supporting junior chefs.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety practices.

Searcys are looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at the most Central London venue Kings Fund.

The role will require someone that has a creative flair, is inspired by attention to detail and is excited to deliver exquisite and flawless dishes as well as support with other sections in the kitchen.

Located just moments from Oxford Street and Regent Street, No.11 Cavendish Square offers spectacularly airy and light event spaces which set a fantastic backdrop for a range of events including meetings and conferences to stylish award dinners and seasonal parties. Salary : £45,000

Key Responsibilities
  • To support the senior kitchen team in the day to day running of the operation.
  • Collaboratively working with the Exec / Head Chef to create seasonal and bespoke menus for Searcys events in line with Clients requirements.
  • Supporting the team, training and mentoring all chefs and allowing them to grow for the future.
  • To monitor on a daily basis the standards achieved in each area and report to the Exec / Head Chef in any areas of concerns.
  • To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc. within the areas of responsibility.
  • Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food.
  • Exemplary kitchen management practices and being an ambassador for Searcys legacy brand.
  • Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and restaurant menus.
  • Support Exec / Head Chef in creating a professional working environment for the team ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience as aSousChefin Events, Hotel or high end restaurants.
  • Excellent mentoring and communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving and excellent understanding of Health and Safety practices.
