A local private school in Oxfordshire is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join its dedicated catering team. Working closely with the Head Chef, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, while ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving daily menus.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and support their training and development.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Contribute to menu development, incorporating fresh, seasonal, and healthy ingredients.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  • Support catering for special events, functions, and dietary requirements.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as a Chef de Partie.
  • Passionate about producing fresh, healthy, and balanced meals.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Contract Options
