Project Engineering Leader – Cameras and C-UAS
Due to growth of the business area we have a requirement for additional Project Engineering Leaders to support our work with Thermal Imaging Cameras and even more importantly, their application within Counter UAS Systems, within the Mission Systems Business Area.
Within this team, the projects are forward leading and involve customer intimacy and close collaboration with partner organisations. The role of Project Engineering Leader represents a chance to be at the heart of a diverse range of technologies and exciting projects across the full engineering lifecycle.
Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will hold personal responsibility for the leadership of a complete development, from Requirements through to Acceptance. Project Engineering Leaders build strong relationships with Engineering Functional Leads and / or external partners to ensure the resourcing plans within the IPT they lead are realistic and any issues arising are resolved swiftly.
Project Engineering Leaders are a criticalal part of business winning activity, coordinating the collection of engineering costs, preparation of an engineering plan and holding an engineering bid review.
The role requires a candidate who is self-motivated and enthusiastic, with strong leadership and behavioural skills. The ability to foster and develop effective working relationships is key to ensure engineers perform to the levels required of the project. A strong commercial and business awareness is also essential to ensure that the engineering effort is managed effectively for each given project, delighting the customer and ensuring project success.
The candidate must have demonstrable relevant experience and proven success in their previous roles.
The candidate must have well-rounded engineering experience in all phases of the design lifecycle, and must have previous significant exposure to all aspects of engineering planning.
UK Travel may be a regular requirement for this role.
