A leading NHS trust in London is seeking a Consultant Haemato-Oncologist to join its Haemato-Oncology Department. The role involves providing clinical care to patients with lymphoid malignancies, participating in teaching and training, and engaging in essential research activities. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team and take a lead role in improving patient outcomes through clinical trials. This vacancy offers a competitive salary and is crucial for enhancing clinical services at the Trust.
This advertised post is for a substantive Consultant to join the Haemato‑Oncology Department at the Barts Cancer Centre, based at St Bartholomew's Hospital in the City of London. It is a replacement post due to consultant retirement.
The successful candidate will join the existing multi‑disciplinary team in providing inpatient and outpatient services, including CAR T cell therapy to patients with lymphoid malignancies. In addition to clinical duties, the consultant will contribute to the development of service pathways, participate in teaching and training of junior doctors and medical students, and engage in research activities aimed at improving lymphoma outcomes. The post holder will actively recruit patients to clinical trials.
