We are seeking a self‑motivated, confident Business Development Manager to sell on our market‑leading events and lead sponsorship sales on an exciting new initiative.
DTX Manchester is the leading tech event for the region and plays host to leading tech brands. As business development manager you will be responsible for a dedicated tech area within the show. You will also lead sales on our Manchester Tech Week brand, a city‑wide festival of tech that plays host to some 60 fringe events.
You will take charge of delivering the sales plan and ensuring that your areas achieve their target revenue. The successful candidate will be one who relishes spotting new opportunities and seeking out new business, whilst ensuring that the needs of our long‑term clients are met.
To be successful in this role you will be a naturally effective and engaging communicator, getting the benefits of our products across to clients succinctly. Due to the development nature of the role, 70% of your time will be dedicated to new business sales.
