Job Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Warrington

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Contract: Permanent, Full-time, Office Based

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Manager/ Finance Manager to join a forward-thinking and innovative organisation based in Warrington. This role will suit a hands‑on finance professional who enjoys working in a small finance team and working within a fast‑paced, international environment.

The Role:

As Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing the day‑to‑day finance function, managing a small finance team, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across UK and European entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a small finance team, ensuring effective day‑to‑day operations
  • Oversee preparation of month‑end and year‑end financials, including fixed assets, journals, prepayments, accruals and foreign exchange revaluations
  • Manage multi‑currency sales reconciliations and cashflow processing
  • Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Liaise with international head office to support group consolidations
  • Prepare, submit and reconcile VAT returns across the UK and Europe
  • Produce and submit monthly statistical and financial data
  • Manage the full month payroll processing for UK and European employees
  • Maintain and oversee a company‑wide contract audit
  • Support budget preparation and reconciliations
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified by experience, AAT qualified, or similar
  • Strong knowledge & experience of UK payroll
  • Experience working within a finance or accounts department, with responsibility for managing a small team
  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and Index Match
  • Excellent financial analysis and planning capability
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
